Glad to see this posted, Ellen.For those who haven't read some of the previous message traffic, my wife Mita and I visited Holiday Ocean View last year ... Ellen was our gracious host.

I am impressed by a number of things about this project.

First, so much is already built, and being buklt (not just "planned", the curse of many Philippine resort projects).

Second, the quality of construction of the infrastructure is high.  I am not an engineer, but I know a bit about how houses and building fit together and I have observed a number of other projects in the Philippines .. some are not bad, some are very 'cheesy", some are still mainly dreams on paper.   I've seen nothing that measures up to what is already there at Ocean view.

Finally, good beach front property is a scarce commodity.  And of course, if you build on the beach, normally you always have to worry about storms and/or tsunami's.  (Davao is historically typhoon free, but any ocean or bay expanse is subject to strong storms from time to time). This property is about 30 meters above the ocean, (nearly 100 feet for the metrically challenged) on a bluff, so there is virtually no chance of winding up with your home a wreck from rogue waves or storms.

If you travel to Davao and fail to look this over for yourself, you'll be missing something. I'm planning another trip in March 2011, and we'll certainly check in on this project again.

Very nicely done flash presentation (even worked on my Mac) and the model unit is beautiful. Great view, too.
