Last May, I wrote about Camp Holiday. Since then, it has been a beehive of activities in the Camp. In a span of 4 months, a 2-storey hotel was built ready for today where about 400 people are going to be attending a 2-day convention. Using the resources of Linmarr Hotel and Apartelle, staff were hired and trained fairly quickly.
I am not going to say who these people are for privacy reasons, but as I walk around this morning before going to Davao, I can see they have already set up the campgrounds.
A stage was built right by the beach where a band will be playing tonight. Standing on our veranda, we have an unobstructed view of the stage. I wonder who the band is? It should be an interesting night.
Construction of the swimming pool is still ongoing. It should finish by first week of October, ready for another group of 200 people who have already booked the place.
The Camp is getting interesting. It is normally fully booked for Christmas parties in December, so if you are planning a company party, better book early. The cottages are P1,800 per night and the hotel rooms are P1,500. Last year, there was a group of over 1,000 people ( our very own Company party). So I am sure the Camp can easily accomodate just as much.
I guess I will be losing a little of my own "private" garden and beach. It should be okay. During weekdays, there will be quiet days for me and Sheeba to go swimming. I just have to make sure she doesn't run and jump into the swimming pool.
