The crew of SV Lady Emma invited Kjartan to go diving with them. Finally, this got Kjartan away from the boatyard to have a day of fun. Cliff, one of the crew of Lady Emma, was kind enough to send us the pictures he took.

Davao Gulf has very nice diving spots, especially around the Island of Samal.

I don't dive, but I have done a lot of trips to Samal when I was younger. My eldest brother used to go every weekend with a dive club, and I always hang around with them. I did a lot of snorkelling then and I loved it. It's like a different world down there. I am not sure if it is the same now as it was then, but I have a gut feeling a lot of the coral beds have been destroyed over time. Even so, scuba diving is a great sport and you must try it here sometime.
