My sister-in-law, Olaug, is here visiting us. She is very active and I must say, quite bold. We bought her a mountain bike and she has been biking around Samal almost everyday. I was so surprised that she had already reached the very northern point and the very southern point of the island, coastal as well as inland, through the several hills. And no, the locals do not call her "Hey Joe!", but instead, "Hey Ma'am!".  She diligently studies the map before she goes. She said it is really not needed as there are roads, trails and paths everywhere and there is no way you can get lost.
